WHAT IS M.V.P.?
The Mustang Volunteer Parents is Stepping Stones Academy’s parent group and plays a vital part in the school’s success. The group assists in many ways, including:
- planning school events
- providing input about campus policies
- organizing fundraisers
- helping teachers with class projects
- giving end-of-year awards to the students.
What is the cost to be a member of M.V.P.? The cost is free! All parents of Stepping Stones Academy students are members of M.V.P. simply by being parents.
How do parents “join” M.V.P.? There is not a formal process, since all parents are considered members; however, parents are asked to complete the M.V.P. Volunteer Form. This form provides information about ways the parents wish to volunteer, such as providing food, helping in the classrooms, serving on committees, helping at campus events, or assisting with construction. The form is forwarded to the M.V.P. Coordinator. As activities occur and help is needed, the M.V.P. Coordinator contacts parents.
When are the M.V.P. meetings? The group meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month. (This date changes to the second Thursday of the month if school is not in session on the first Thursday.) The meetings begin at 3:30 p.m. and usually last until 5:00 p.m. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend the meetings. (Children are invited to come along, and many times play on the playground during the meeting.)
For more information, whom do I contact?
